Qualitative Analysis is an important part of many research projects that involve interviews or qualitative surveys. ICT is in the final stages of launching a new service to support qualitative research at the University of Saskatchewan.
Right now, the NVivo software is available though the Campus Computer Store for people wanting to use a computer assisted qualitative analysis. This software works well for a single person involved in the analysis, but doesn’t address collaborative studies to the same level. ICT Research Computing will soon be providing campus with a new service that permits research groups with a collaborative tool to share the data and analysis between team members. This will allow a more consistent approach the analysis of data, and ensure that all of the data is considered.
We are currently working with a small group of researchers to get this prepared for general use. Keep watching this blog for updates as the project moves forward.
