Saskatoon Police Service would like the University of Saskatchewan community to know that over the Christmas holidays, a number of armed robberies occurred in our city. This week Crime Stoppers needs your help solving an armed robbery in which a handgun was used to threaten employees at a convenience store in the 1600 block of 11th Street West.
The Saskatoon Police Service Fraud Section is advising the public to be aware of the possibility of Internet scams, involving Grey Cup Tickets. They are advising purchasers to use caution. Do not use money orders, or wire services and by no means give out your personal information, including credit card number to anyone or business, unless it is reputable. Never send cash or cheques through the mail, the best method of payment for such tickets would be PayPal.
