Saskatoon Police Service would like the University of Saskatchewan community to know that over the Christmas holidays, a number of armed robberies occurred in our city. This week Crime Stoppers needs your help solving an armed robbery in which a handgun was used to threaten employees at a convenience store in the 1600 block of 11th Street West.
On Saturday, December 26, 2009, at approximately 9:34 PM, two males entered the business walking directly to where a female cashier was working behind the counter. The suspect who demanded money was armed with a handgun. He pointed the firearm at the cashier and then at a male employee who was also present.
The suspects removed a small amount of money from the cash tray then left it behind. They ran east along the business to the alley where investigators believe a vehicle was waiting.
Suspect #1 is described as approximately 5’8“tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black balaclava, black jacket, black pants and white runners.
Suspect #2 is described as approximately 5’10” – 6‘tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black hoodie with the hood pulled tight around his face so only his eyes could be seen. He was also wearing black pants and black shoes.
