1. Considerations When Integrating Learning Technologies

This week our guest in the Google+ Hangout will be D’Arcy Norman from the University of Calgary. We’ll be speaking with D’Arcy about some of the issues related to the integration of learning technologies. The following videos will provide some useful background on a few of the issues including what do “free” and “open” really mean, as well as the importance of reminding learners, and educators, of all ages that we shouldn’t be afraid of failure. That’s where some of the best ideas and learning come from.

Discussion Post (on Canvas)

For this discussion, reflect on some of the issues that you have faced as either a student or educator when integrating learning technologies into your teaching and / or learning. Have you hit barriers because of school policies? Have you or your students expressed concerns about privacy? Have you encountered resistance from colleagues over your attempts at doing things differently?

Post your reflection of no more than 250 words to the discussion forum for Considerations. Respond to the posts of other participants in the course. Try to keep your responses under 200 words.
