It’s Already Week 12

Welcome to Week 12 everyone. I can’t believe we’re almost done.

I want to remind everyone that since this is an open course, the materials will remain on the site for the foreseeable future.

Here are the usual links.

Tomorrow, April 8 at 1 PM Saskatchewan time (12 PM Vancouver / California time and 3 PM Toronto / New York time) I’ll be chatting with Valerie Irvine from the University of Victoria about where learning technologies are going. A link will be sent out and shared on the course site a few hours before the session begins. A recording of the session will be available at the same link once the Hangout ends. Send questions for Valerie during the hangout  via Twitter using the hashtag #ilt_usask. You may also email me questions ahead of time.

The class officially ends on April 15. On April 16 I’ll be sending out an email with a link to an online course evaluation and would be most grateful if you would complete it. In addition, there will be a request for volunteers for some interviews to help us evaluate the course. I will not be the one conducting them.

What You Need to Do This Week

  • Write and add your blog post for the week. This week is a free week, but I’ve suggested a possible topic if you’re looking for one. See Week 11 under Activities for more information.
  • Comment on the blogs of some of your classmate
  • There is a video of a keynote Valerie gave at a conference held at the University of Saskatchewan. It’s about 90 minutes long, but very interesting. You have no other readings or videos to watch this week (other than the Google Hangout) so if you have the time, I do recommend watching this.

If you have any problems with links, videos or tools, or have any comments or questions, please contact me by email or Twitter (@mctoonish).
