It’s Already Week 10

It’s Week 10 of Introduction of Learning Technologies!

Here is the usual list of links that I include for your reference:

There are a number of important dates coming up that I want to draw to your attention:

  • Thursday March 27 –  We’re having a Twitter chat this Thursday where we’ll be discussing the question “How do open online courses in general (not just this one) grow / enhance your personal learning network.” See this video from Week 1 for a refresher on PLNs – http://youtu.be/KJKdwfEi_7A. I’ll be monitoring the tweets for this throughout the day, but I will specifically be engaged in the conversation from 1-3 PM Saskatchewan time. Be sure to use the course hashtag #ilt_usask for any tweets that you send related to the course (during the chat or any other time).
  • Friday March 28 – Media projects due. Details about the project are on the course site – http://words.usask.ca/learning-tech/assignments/media-project/
  • Tuesday April 1 – The second Google Hangout of the class will be starting at 1 PM Saskatchewan time. This will be a conversation with Brad Weutherick from Dalhousie University about ePortfolios. A link will be sent out and shared on the course site shortly before the session begins. A recording of the session will be available at that same link once the Hangout ends.
  • Tuesday April 8 – The third and final Google Hangout of the class will be starting at 12 PM (noon) Saskatchewan time. This will be a conversation with Valerie Irvine from the University of Victoria about the future of learning technologies.

What You Need to Do This Week

  1. Complete the readings and watch the videos in Week 10 – Wikis, Digital Literacy and AUPs
  2. Write and add your blog post for the week. This week you should add your media project to your blog and include a reflection on the process. See Week 10 under Activities for more information.
  3. Comment on the blogs of some of your classmate
