Government of Canada Funding Electricity Transmission Line To Remote First Nations

The Government of Canada announced recently that they have approved up to $60M in funding to link the remote Ontario First Nation of Pikangikum to the national electricity grid. Its one of 22 remote Indigenous communities in Northwestern Ontario that will be part of a 1,800 km extension to end reliance on expensive and unreliable diesel generators.
