Saskatchewan Aboriginal Voter Turnout Increases In Last Federal Election

The percentage of Saskatchewan voters living on reserves who cast a ballot in the 2015 Federal Election went up from 50% in the 2011 election to 67%. Various theories have been offered for the increase from the Idle No More movement to dissatisfaction with former Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s policies.
