Saskatchewan First Nation Chief, Councillors Face Allegations of Fund Misuse

The chief and several councillors from the Big Island Lake Cree Nation in northwestern Saskatchewan are facing allegations of misuse of funds from their social assistance accounts. No charges have been laid and none of the allegations have been proven in court. The federal government has sent in a team of auditors to conduct a forensic audit.
