Saskatchewan Urban Reserves Gaining Acceptance

The growing number of successful urban reserves throughout Saskatchewan has transformed opposition into quiet acceptance. The recent opening of the Cree Way Gas West on 22nd St. in Saskatoon has highlighted that these businesses make the same payments to municipalities and school boards as other businesses do through service agreements. These agreements require payments to be made that are equal to the taxes that would have been paid on the land, therefore making it a revenue neutral proposition.
