Prime Minister’s ‘Canoes and Paddles’ Remark Called Borderline Racist

The NDP’s Indigenous affairs critic MP Romeo Saganash responded to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s comments at a town hall held at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon with a satirical letter to him. He said that a national canoe and paddle program was left off the TRC’s 94 calls to action and must have been only known to Trudeau.
